It may be cold outside, but the flight deals to the Sunshine State are just starting to heat up.
After months of what felt like abnormally high fares, the cheap flights we've come to reliably expect from Florida's many airports are storming back just in time for the dregs of winter all over North America.
In the last few weeks, we've notified our Thrifty Traveler Premium subscribers to sub-$200 roundtrip flights to cities along Florida's Gulf Coast like Sarasota, Tampa, and Fort Myers as well as South Florida mainstays like Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach. Plus, outposts like Key West and the Florida Panhandle have also seen lowered fares. And, of course, Orlando flights are still cheap, too.
Put your parka in the closet and grab your swimsuit and shades. We're going to Florida!
Florida Gulf Coast from $117 RT
From Tampa running down to Fort Myers and Naples, the Florida Gulf Coast is sought after for a reason. Its beaches are immaculate, its weather is ideal during the winter, and there are a million ways to get there.
And after dealing with the impacts of a hurricane this fall, the cities of the Gulf Coast are ready to welcome visitors once again, too.
Travelers can rest assured that their vacation will go off without a hitch when they fly to the Gulf this winter, and it's not going to cost travelers very much to get there, either.
This fare from Raleigh (RDU) to Tampa (TPA) is the cheapest in a flight deal alert we sent to travelers in all of these cities just a few days ago.
With plenty of nonstop flights from cities big and small across the country for under $200 roundtrip, flying into TPA is a convenient airport to start your beach escape, spring training baseball trip, or both!
The same goes for Tampa's neighbor to the south: Sarasota (SRQ).
Cheap flights to SRQ are typically harder to find, considering fewer airlines fly fewer flights to the Gulf Coast outpost. But Sarasota is right where you want to be if you can fly there, and luckily, tons of airlines put their fares to SRQ on sale recently, too.
South from there is Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW), also known as Fort Myers. The gateway to the southern Gulf and the city of Naples is also ripe for cheap flights, as evidenced by this list of nonstop and one-stop fares.
Miami & More from $117 RT
An Everglades excursion, a South Beach party night, or a golfing getaway are all amazing reasons to visit South Florida. And thanks to airports like Miami (MIA), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), and Palm Beach International (PBI), flights to South Florida can be inexpensive if you know where to look.
For travelers in Boston (BOS), they don't have to look far, it seems…
This low fare was just one example from this thorough list of nonstop flights to South Florida you could find under $199 roundtrip this winter.
Many of these fares worked for both Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Miami (MIA), too. So if you have a preference on where you'd like to land, you can pick your desired airport, too.
If you want to fly to Palm Beach, though, PBI is your best bet. And while it's typically home to fewer flights and therefore higher fares, sometimes the airlines will throw you a bone.
This New York (JFK) flight is a perfect example. Delta slashed the cost of this beauty down to just $127 roundtrip to compete with JetBlue on the same route. And then Delta and JetBlue raced to cut all of its other fares flying to PBI from the rest of the country, too!
Florida Keys from $218 RT
Travelers heading to South Florida might have designs on a trip to the Florida Keys. The beautiful island outposts that string along the southern tip of the Florida Peninsula are a great place to visit to Hemingway your way through some cocktails, a cigar, and a fishing trip among other things.
But you don't have to make the long drive from Miami to Key West to get there. With prices like these, you should fly straight into EYW Airport.
Key West flight deals are few and far between, but when fares drop to levels like these ones did, we quickly round up all the best rates from our 200-plus U.S. and Canadian airports to get them in front of our members.
This deal was one to remember, featuring both winter and spring break (read: March) availability from most cities. If you're willing to take a quick connection, a Key West adventure is well within reach for less than $300 roundtrip.
Orlando from $110 RT
Mickey Mouse fans, rejoice! Cheap flights to Orlando are steadily cheap once again.
Orlando is and long has been a reliable cheap flights destination in the U.S. Every airline flies to Orlando – sometimes multiple times a day.
For example, there were 24 nonstop flights scheduled from Atlanta (ATL) to Orlando (MCO) on Jan. 1, 2025. That's on four different airlines, too. All that competition only means one thing: Cheap fares like this one.
Our friends in Upstate New York could jump on this Albany (ALB) to Orlando nonstop route operated by JetBlue to get to Disney or Universal for just $110 roundtrip. It was just one fare of a huge list (that was cut off because the list was longer than my screen!) of super cheap fares down to MCO.

Florida Panhandle from $158 RT
Don't sleep on the Panhandle! The Gulf Coast, South Florida, and Orlando get all the love when it comes to Florida destinations, but you should be thinking about the Panhandle, too.
The cities (and airports) of Destin (VPS), Panama City (ECP), and Pensacola (PNS) all feature major airline air service and routinely go on sale, too.
